The Working Group was established in 2022 as a subsidiary body of the Government Council for Seniors and Population Ageing. Since 2024, it has brought together representatives of all ministries, experts from various institutions, academia, and the non-governmental and private sectors.
The Working Group serves as a basis for establishing ageing contact points within all ministries, with the aim of creating a basic model for coordinating policies related to preparing society for ageing.
Each member of the Working Group also acts as the contact person for ageing-related matters within their respective ministry. This role stems from Specific Objective 1.1.1 of the Action Plan for the Implementation of the Strategic Framework for Preparing Society for Ageing for the period 2023–2025.
Tasks of the contact points:
- supporting inter-ministerial cooperation,
- identifying research priorities,
- integrating preparation for ageing into public policies.
